Citadel Honey Bunny Review: Varun Dhawan Action Packed Series

Citadel Honey Bunny Review:

Citadel, an American television series, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2023. The series stars our very own Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra, in the starring role alongside Richard Madden. While Citadel garnered mixed reviews from critics, it was reported that spin-offs of the show will be produced in several countries, with the Indian spin-off being Citadel Honey Bunny. Raj and DK were brought in to helm, while Varun Dhawan and Samantha were cast in the starring parts. Finally, today, the series became available on Amazon Prime Video. So is it worth watching? Find out in the review below.

Citadel Honey Bunny Review

It is 2000, and Honey (Samantha) and her daughter Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar) are in Nainital. Soon, they are in difficulty since some nasty men are following them. The plot shifts to 1992, where Honey is a struggling actress and Bunny (Varun Dhawan) is a stuntman and covert agent. Due to circumstances, Honey also joins Bunny as an agent. However, during a mission, Honey and Bunny become separated. Was the mission the reason for their separation? Will Honey and Bunny get back together? To learn all of these answers, watch the show...

Sita R. Menon and Raj & DK wrote Citadel Honey Bunny, which they also directed. The series consists of six episodes, the first two of which are dedicated to the extremely well-done build. The show picks up beautifully in the third episode. The third, fourth, and fifth episodes are simply great. They keep us interested, and there are some great chase situations in these three episodes. The final episode, however, is underwhelming. In the sixth episode, the show slows down significantly. The climax, which should have been the highlight, is quite underwhelming. The action, however, is Citadel Honey Bunny's strongest suit. There are some pretty skillfully choreographed action sequences!

Citadel Honey Bunny Review: Actors' Performances Analysis and Comments

Varun Dhawan and Samantha are excellent actors in their respective roles. Varun's admirers enjoy watching him in his action persona. Samantha, however, steals the show. She has been given some of the series' best scenes, and she has nailed them. She has also completed the action without difficulty. Kashvi Majmundar, a kid performer, makes a lasting impression, proving that when she grows up, she will be Priyanka Chopra. Supporting actors such as Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Salim, Soham Majumdar, and Shivankit Singh Parihar deliver excellent performances.

Overall, Citadel Honey Bunny is a superb show with some excellent chase and action scenes. However, a great final episode could have elevated the show to a new level. However, we believe Citadel Honey Bunny outperforms American Citadel.
